Terms and Conditions
Alliance Française de Manille (AfM) reserves the right to cancel or dissolve a class if the number of students fails to reach the required minimum number of six (6). In such an event, AfM encourages enrolled students to join another class of the same level and availability. However, if a student cannot do so, AfM shall refund his/her full tuition fee.
Should the assigned trainer fall sick or is unable to conduct class(es), a make-up class will be scheduled.
AfM reserves the right to change the assigned trainer during an ongoing session (if necessary).
Every enrolled student is required to obtain the official teaching material used by AfM.
Purchased books that are unclaimed within one (1) year will be returned to our inventory for re-selling. Claiming after the 1 year period will be subject to the availability of the new shipment of books.
Student shall be permitted to transfer to another schedule by submitting a written notice:
-Semi-Intensive and Evening Classes: within the first week of the session calendar
-Weekend Classes: within the first two weeks of the session calendar
-Intensive Classes: within the first two meetings
However, AfM cannot guarantee the availability of slots. For any transfer, an administration fee of three hundred pesos (P300.00) is automatically charged to the student. Transfers are subject to approval by AFM’s management.
AFM shall grant a credit note to a student who has enrolled to a specific session calendar but wishes to defer or cancel his/her enrollment subject to the following terms:
1. 100% if one submits a written notice ten (10) days prior to the start of the session calendar;
2. 75% if one submits a written notice five (5) days prior to the start of the session calendar;
3. 50% if one submits a written notice two (2) days prior to the start of the session calendar;
4. 25% if one submits a written notice less than one (1) day before the start of the session and within the first two weeks of the session calendar.
5. No credit shall be issued after the second week of the session calendar.
An administration fee of three hundred pesos (P300.00) is automatically deducted from the credit note. The full amount of the credit note must be used within a six (6) month period.
Credit notes are neither transferable nor refundable. It cannot be used to purchase books nor be credited for private tutorial classes.
Given the difficulty of foreseeing the extent and consequences of the rainy season, The AFM Language Center has decided to issue the following automatic class suspension policy in case of typhoons and/or bad weather conditions. Please take note that classes are automatically cancelled when:
In case of typhoons, PAGASA issues storm signal N⁰2 in Metro Manila.
In the event that the City of Makati issues an official announcement for the suspension of classes in ALL LEVELS.
Payment should be made at least a week before the scheduled start of class. If payment is made on the day
of the schedule class, it will be subject for approval by the coach otherwise it will be moved to a different day.
Payment should be made before the scheduled start of class. Payment can be made directly through Alliance Française de Manille office or bank deposit/online transfer.
Class will be confirmed to start once payment has been made and verified. No class will start without prior payment.
Coaching class schedules may be subject to change and student/s are required to follow accordingly. Modification of class time will be coordinated with the student that is still within the availability of both coach and student/s.
In case of class cancellation made by the student, AFM and the coach should be notified 24 hours before the scheduled class. Failure to do so will result in a 1 hour deduction from the current package of the student.
In the case of class cancellation made by the student less than 24 hours before the scheduled session, the class will be counted and paid to the teacher.
In the event that a student is late, AFM will give a 15 minute grace period for 1 hour classes and a 30 minutes grace period for more than 1 hour classes.
If a student does not show up after the given grace periods, the class will be considered cancelled and 1 hour will be deducted from the student's package. Coaching class validity varies according to package:

| 30 hour package | Ten (10) month validity after purchase date |
Coaching classes are non-refundable and non-transferable to another person.
Alliance Française de Manille adheres to the Republic Act 10173 or known as the Data Privacy Act of 2012 to respect and protect the privacy of the staff and students.
In accordance to this, students are strictly prohibited from the following:
- Taking photos and recording videos of the live classes, teachers and personnels including but not limited to lectures, discussions and presentations without prior written consent of AFM.
- Consent from teachers must be obtained in written form before any recording or photo capturing can occur.
- AFM has the right to withdraw the consent at any time, and upon withdrawal of the consent, any further recording or photographing must cease immediately.
