Alliance Française de Manille provides translation services from French to English and English to French to French, as well as English to Filipino and Filipino to English.

We offer three types of rates for document translation: Expedite, Rush, Ordinary.

Expedite is the fastest way to get your translation.

For documents of 1 to 3 pages, you will receive the translation within 1 working day.

Rush is the second fastest option.

For documents of 1 to 3 pages, you will receive the translation within 2 to 3 working days.

Ordinary is the most budget-friendly option and is ideal if the translation is not urgent. 

For documents of 1 to 3 pages, you will receive the translation within 7 working days.

For documents of 4 pages and more, the Translation Officer will determine and agree with the client on the turnaround time.

One page in this calculation is equivalent to 250 words only. When the number of words in a document exceeds 250, an additional page will be charged.

    (A.) Translations shall refer to the final translated document, computerized, on a standard paper (A4), counted on the basis of 250 words per page.

    (B.) Translations which are composed of several pages shall be computed according to the total number of translated pages as defined above.

    (C.) A page of less than 250 words will be charged as one page. As soon as the page exceeds 250 words, an additional page will be charged.

    (D.) For documents exceeding 1,000 words, the Client and Alliance Française shall agree on the delivery date for the translation.

    (E.) Upon signing this Agreement, the client must pay a non-refundable deposit of at least 75% of the initial estimate provided by an AFM Agent. The balance shall be settled upon the release of the translated documents.

    (F.) Electronic copies of client’s source and translated documents will only be archived for one (1) year unless deletion is requested sooner. Any document requiring editing and reprinting beyond this period will need to be re-translated.

    (G.) Alliance Française de Manille (AFM) is not liable for any loss of documents submitted for translation as we receive the photocopies only.

    (H.) The Client’s signature signifies agreement to the AFM Operational Translation Policy.

    (I.) “ESTIMATED” means that the final number of pages and the cost may vary after the translation process.

    (J.) Even with the Expedite option, the discretion to determine the final Release Date rests solely with the translator.

    5. If my document is 1 to 3 pages only, when will I receive the translation?
      For documents of 1 to 3 pages, you can expect the following turnaround times for receiving the translation:
      • Ordinary Processing: 7 working days
      • Rush Processing: 3 working days
      • Expedite Processing: 1 working day
    6. How much do I pay for the translation?
      Please refer to the pricing details provided on our webpage.
    7. How are the words counted in the translation?
      Translations are based on 250 words per page in the target language. If a page contains fewer than 250 words, it will be charged as one full page. As soon as the page exceeds 250 words, an additional page will be charged.
    8. Are your translators French?
      Yes, our team includes French, Canadian, and Filipino translators.
    9. Can you deliver the translated documents?
      Clients can choose to pick up their translated documents at our office or have them delivered to their preferred location within the Philippines. We can arrange delivery with our partner courier for a minimal fee.
    10. Do I need a stamp from the Embassy of France?
      In most cases, a stamp of legalization from the Embassy of France is required for your translated documents. It is advisable to check with the document recipient to confirm whether embassy legalization is necessary.
