Alliance Française de Manille (AFM) was founded in 1920 and is one of the most prominent foreign cultural institutions in the country today. The AFM-PARP will provide Filipino artists with a financial grant to cover costs for travel and living expenses.  These resources are expected to afford recipients the opportunity for stimulating cultural exchanges and collaboration with other artists, and uninterrupted creative time.

The Visayan terracotta artists are back at Alliance Française (AFM) Total Gallery.  After their successful exhibition at AFM in June 2008, Bacolod-based Joe Geraldo and Israel “Noi” Gonzales are joined by Dumaguete sculptor Mark Valenzuela in an exhibition of new works in terracotta and mixed media entitled “Gingikanan” (“Origins”).
